Mark Medical new offices in Gorizia have been realized in an industrial building that dates back to the seventies, in an environment devoid of distinctive feature. Aim of the project is to give premises a strong connotation by using few and essential elements as white color, natural and artificial lighting. This allows the carrying out of a project that can be described as introvert, lacteous, and able to use the exterior as a variable light source, by filtering it through different transparency degrees. Big satin glass walls – retro-illuminated by means of peculiar devices to create different scenarios – hide dividing systems, accesses to working and services areas, broadening the environment and creating a surprising effect in space experience. The meeting room extends the idea of hiding and revealing through bended sliding doors, behind which are located multimedia communication systems, closets, windows on the outside, access door to the room, and related service area. Through this, is possible to create different scenarios, starting from a total outwards opening, to a complete alienating closure, where spatial references are canceled.
